Backlight panels are used to provide uniform and bright surface light in plenty of applications. They have many names, such as backlighting panels, backlit panels, edge lit panels and so on. There is the light source in the sides of every backlight panel. The early backlight panels used the CCFL as the light source. But now, they use the LED strips. So when we talk about the backlight panels, we refer to the led backlight panels.
The mainly material of LED backlight panel is the light guide plate which is made by clear acrylic board(PMMA, plexiglass). So the led backlight panels are also the acrylic light panels. The clear acrylic sheets have high transmittance and many other good features. When they are printed with dots or links in one surface, they can transfer the light of LED strips that are located in the sides to another surface with a high uniformity.
